Walnut sponges utilise the powerful scrubbing abilities of walnut shells to produce a strong and effective clean. Although walnut shells are a key ingredient, the sponge doesn’t induce any allergic reactions so are safe for everyone to use, regardless of their allergies. They’re mostly plant based - using walnut cells and cellulose - but they also contain recycled plastic. The production requires less energy than the typical processes and by extension, produces less greenhouse gases. There is no triclosan added to the sponges however you can disinfect them when you get worried about the cleanliness.
