Homemade Washing Up Liquid6 January 2006 | Jo Here is how I made my homemade washing up liquid:
Ingredients: 12.5 oz hot water
6 tbsp of Castile soap
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar - alternatively you could use white vinegar
1 tbsp Bicarb of soda
2 drops of sweet orange essential oil, 2 drops of pink grapefruit essential oil, 3 drops of lime essential oil, 5 drops of lemon essential oil First I poured the hot water into a bowl, then added the grated the Castile soap and mixed together.

Then added the apple cider vinegar and Bicarb of soda. Mixed together while waiting for the mixture to cool.
Poured into a hand pump and hurrah, plastic free dish washing liquid.
It's great at removing grease, gentle on the environment and very cheap to make.
